What the capsule planner calculates from the dates

The tool converts a seal date and opening date into a practical waiting calendar, then adds reminder, check-in and opening milestones so the capsule plan survives more than one enthusiastic afternoon.

  • Seal and opening dates are parsed as civil Gregorian dates and corrected if the opening date falls before sealing.
  • Total wait days, full month span, reminder lead date and check-in cadence are calculated from the current inputs.
  • The printed timeline keeps the keeper, item count, capsule type and notes with the date schedule.

Method

The planner calculates civil dates, reminders and month-based check-ins

The tool parses the seal and opening dates as Gregorian dates, normalises them at UTC noon, corrects invalid backwards openings to one year after sealing, then builds check-ins by monthly, quarterly or yearly intervals. The printed sheet keeps the calculated schedule and the human notes together.

Total wait days, full months, calendar grid placement, check-in milestones and the opening reminder date are calculated from the user inputs.
