Assumptions

Solar noon is found with Astronomy Engine SearchHourAngle(Sun, 0) for the selected coordinates. The selected UTC offset converts the UTC meridian-crossing instant to local clock time after the astronomy search.

Limits

This is a printable planning calendar, not an official almanac, daylight-saving database, sunrise service, surveying tool or safety-critical navigation reference. Confirm local time rules and exact coordinates.

Method

The worksheet computes apparent solar noon for each date

The calculator converts local midnight to a UTC search start, calls Astronomy Engine SearchHourAngle(Sun, 0) for the selected coordinates, and formats the Sun's meridian crossing back into the selected local offset.

Sun-time basis

Solar noon is when the Sun crosses the local meridian. It is often not 12:00 by the clock because time zones are broad and the equation of time changes through the year.

Print path

The print button opens browser print. The print stylesheet keeps the month grid, earliest and latest noon rows, field notes, assumptions and limits.
